May 2008: Sorie Kondi has acquired a minidisc recorder and learned to record himself with it. He had long hoped for a recording device to use as a compositional tool, and a Sony MZR-30 was presented to him at his home in Freetown. Blindness did not seem to be much of an impediment in learning to use it. After thirty minutes of hands-on instruction, Pa Sorie was recording, stopping, and playing back some new songs on his couch.

April 2008: Sorie Kondi's "Without Money, No Family" album is now available worldwide. It was released on compact disc by EarthCDs, and can be purchased by clicking on the album cover on the [Music] page on this website.
